I love to dance.
Kick my feet up towards the sky,
Laugh ‘til my legs are shaking,
Reaching high to catch a star.

Living free a new adventure,
Once confined I took my stand.
Sad beginnings now behind me.
Full of promise—ain’t it grand!
But what happens if those thoughts and actions aren’t enough?  Where do we turn if our efforts don’t create what we’re seeking?

Many of us, me included, are firm believers in the power of positive thoughts, especially when those thoughts are followed up by focused and consistent actions.

Timeless
The infinite breathes life
Into all that exists.

Unending streams of creation
Weaving its way into all that we see
All that we do
All that we are.

Formless into form
Transient in nature
Its beauty undefinable
Remembered and cherished
Deep within the soul.

My inner smile
I now embrace.
Fills me with joy
As I breathe in grace.

Nurtured by the earth
I walk in peace.
Sharing the light
With others who seek.

I never studied dance as a child.  In fact, I took my first ballet class at 19, just after I moved to Southern California.  I was in love with ballet, and deeply longed to be a professional dancer someday.  I knew the odds were against me, but I believed if I worked at it, anything was possible.

They walk among us
Gentle spirits of the light.
Greeting us with smiles
On this journey we call life.

Amidst the endless chatter
And distracting rush of noise,
A helping hand extended
A word of kindness shared.

Be open and observant
As you move from here to there.
Or you’ll miss the generous gestures
All around you.  Everywhere.
